- 1923 - A Romanian Austrian company named Farola was founded for manufacturing copper wire, copper plates and cables for railway engines
- 1935 - The first Romanian metallurgical company - METROM came into being
- 1948 - Farola and Metrom merged under the name METROM
- 1953 - Starts up the production of tapered pin cocks for gas cooking stoves
- 1974 - Starts up the air compressors production for ROMAN trucks and buses
- 1979 - The four stroke engines for motor mowers and industrial use were assimilated
- 1981 - Air compressors for trucks, tractors and electrical locomotives were developed
- 2005 - ROM COMPRESSOR MV was borned by privatisation of the engineering manufacturer activity started in 1974 by SC METROM SA Brasov, essentially the manufacture of Air Compressors for Trucks and small engines for power agriculture.
TODAY - Rom Compressor MV is a 100 % private company. Production of the air compressors that equips trucks, tractors, buses and small engines for motor mowers and motor pumps is the main activity of the company.The company produces spare parts for the automotive,agriculture,electrotehnical and consumer goods industries.In the processing sector we are able to produce a wide range of metal works.Beside the cutting processing sector,ROM COMPRESSOR MV has an assambly shop for air compressors,engines and other various products.
